What to Buy1. 1 fresh or frozen beef tongue
2. Salt, 3 teaspoons
How to Make It1. It's actually simple - put it in water; it'll take a while to cook, so the water should cover it by about 6-7 centimeters
2. Once it comes to a boil, drain the first water and add fresh water
3. Add water again, and once it boils, lower the heat so it simmers gently
4. If the tongue is fresh, cook for 2 hours; if frozen, about 3 hours. You can check if the skin is starting to peel away.
5. As soon as the tongue is done, drain the water and pour in cold water, then take it out and peel off the skin - I also trim off all the fat
6. Slice and serve, it's great as an appetizer :-)
