Spicy Wings

Main
Spicy Wings
What to Buy
1. Chicken wings , cleaned of any pin feathers, 12 wings for four servings
2. Flour, about half a cup needed (gluten-free Schar brand flour works too)
3. Garlic powder, 1 teaspoon
4. Ground hot red pepper and black pepper, 0.5 teaspoon each
5. Salt, half a teaspoon
6. Frank's RedHot Original sauce, 150 grams
7. Butter, 150 grams
8. Vegetable oil, canola or sunflower oil, either works, 1 liter

How to Make It1. Rinse the wings in water, then cut off the smallest tip at the end, as shown in the photo, and cut each wing in half
2. Dry them very well with paper towels
3. Make the coating - half a cup of flour, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 0.5 teaspoon ground hot red pepper, 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper, and half a teaspoon salt. Mix it all well until it forms a uniform mixture
4. Coat each wing well in this mixture and place on a plate, ideally lined with baking paper so they don't stick, then put the wings in the freezer
5. After about four hours or more, take the wings out of the freezer and coat them again in the flour and spice mixture, then put them back in the freezer for at least another four hours
6. Heat a liter of oil in a medium pot over high heat; after about 2 minutes check with a toothpick - if you dip it in the oil and bubbles rise from it, the oil is hot enough. Carefully lower the dry-coated wings into the hot oil. Fry for 12 to 15 minutes; the main thing is that the oil fully covers the wings - if they don't all fit, fry the rest in a second batch. After 12-15 minutes, remove the wings with a slotted spoon from the pot and place them on a plate lined with paper towels so the excess oil drains off
7. Make the hot sauce - cut 150 grams of butter into a small saucepan, put the pan on the lowest heat and pour in 150 grams of
"Frank's RedHot Original sauce, stirring, and wait until the butter and sauce blend evenly and the sauce becomes hot; you need to stir constantly or the butter and sauce will separate. It will be ready in about two or three minutes
8. By this time the fried wings will have cooled slightly - now you can put them in the sauce and mix well

That's it, ready to eat - it's great with beer, if you happen to drink beer :-)
