Spanish Salad

Salad
Spanish Salad
What to Buy1. A can of tuna in olive oil
2. Potatoes - 500 grams, about 6 medium ones
3. Carrot - 1 piece
4. Egg - 2 pieces
5. Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
6. Black ground pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
7. Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
8. Chives - a couple of sprigs, adds freshness, but can be left out

How to Make It1. Wash the carrot and potatoes and set them to boil in a pot of water, covering them by about a finger's width; once it boils, lower the heat and simmer under a lid for about 30 minutes - check with a fork, if it goes in easily it's done, drain the water and let cool, then peel
2. Boil the eggs for 15 minutes after the water boils, lowering the heat so it barely simmers - 15 minutes to make sure they're hard-boiled, cool them in cold water and peel
3. Cut the potatoes into cubes, about one centimeter each
4. Grate the carrot on a coarse grater and place it in the salad bowl on top of the potatoes
5. Open the tuna and place it, along with the olive oil, on top of the potatoes and carrot
6. Grate the eggs on a fine grater, the whites first, then the yolks
7. Add half a teaspoon of salt, a quarter teaspoon of pepper, two tablespoons of mayonnaise and mix everything well
8. Finely chop the chives and sprinkle on top

You can eat it right away, but it's better chilled! Enjoy your meal!
