Fried Potatoes

Fried Potatoes
What to Buy1. For two people, you'll need about 3 large potatoes - white potatoes work best for frying
2. Sour cream, as a topping - in my opinion, a must
3. Salt, half a teaspoon
4. Sunflower oil

How to Cut and Fry1. Peel the potatoes and wash them in water
2. Cut them lengthwise into two or three pieces, depending on the size of the potato
3. Now slice them crosswise, like little rings, about 2-3 millimeters thick
4. Pour three tablespoons of oil into a skillet and heat it on high; once it's hot, spread the potatoes evenly across the whole skillet, in a single layer
5. Lower the heat by about half, fry for about 3 minutes and cover with a lid for a minute, then check if it's browned by lifting with a spatula - if the bottom is golden, flip everything and spread it out evenly again so the other side fries, the same way for another 3 minutes, then cover with a lid for 1 minute again.
Importanta) Don't stir the potatoes, or stir as little as possible, otherwise you'll end up with mush
b) You can salt them, but it's best to do it at the end
c) Serve hot, with plenty of sour cream on top
d) It also works well as a side dish
How to Reheat if There's Too Much1. Heat oil in a skillet
2. Add the potatoes, it's fine if they're stuck together
3. Pour an egg over the top - this time you can stir it (it's a matter of taste, but I like it)
