What to Buy1. 5 Medium Potatoes (white ones are best, though any will do)
2. 100 g. Butter
3. 100 ml. Cream (more than 15% fat)
4. A teaspoon of salt, half a teaspoon of black pepper
How to Make It1. Wash the potatoes and do NOT peel or cut them, place them in a pot and cover with water two fingers above the potatoes
2. Bring the water to a boil, then lower the heat so it barely simmers; the potatoes will take about 40 minutes to cook, since they're large
3. Check if they're soft — if a fork goes in to the middle, they're ready
4. Remove from heat and drain the water, don't rinse with cold water
5. Peel each potato, carefully with a knife, holding it with a fork since it's hot
6. Add salt and pepper
7. Put the peeled potatoes back in the pot and cut them roughly with a knife, :-)
8. Add the butter cut into pieces, cover with a lid, the butter will melt
9. Add the cream and whip everything well with a mixer
