What to Buy1. Eggs - 2 pieces
2. Ham - 50 grams
3. Fresh Cucumber - 1 medium
4. Tomato - 1 medium
5. Green Onion - One sprig
6. Roasted Red Pepper, peeled - 1 piece, usually sold in jars
7. Gouda Cheese - 50 grams
8. Black Olives - 4 pieces, pitted
9. Brynza - 50 grams
10. Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
11. Ground Black Pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
12. Olive Oil - 1.5 tablespoons
Bulgarians also add pickled mushrooms, but I don't — I think it's good without them too, but if you like the light mushroom flavor, you can add 50 grams of pickled mushroom caps sliced lengthwise
How to Make It1. Hard-boil the eggs, about 15 minutes after the water boils, on low heat, then place in cold water and peel, carefully separating the cooked whites from the yolks
2. Cut into half-centimeter cubes and layer: cucumber, tomato, then season with salt and pepper, gouda cheese, ham, roasted pepper without the skin, egg whites only, cut the olives crosswise and layer them on top too
3. Grate the brynza over the top first, covering the whole salad, then the yolk
4. Drizzle with olive oil
You can serve it this way, but of course it's eaten mixed! Enjoy your meal!!!
