What to Buy or What You Need1. Pyrat XO Rum - 45 ml, you can use another good aged rum, for example Bacardi Rum Gran Reserva Limitada, or something else
2. Creole Bitters - 2 dashes (20 drops), sold wherever good quality alcohol is sold
3. Pineapple Syrup - 15 ml
How to Make It1. To make the pineapple syrup you'll need one ripe pineapple, 150 ml of water, and 150 ml of sugar. Blend the pineapple with an immersion blender into a very fine puree, then strain it through a fine sieve twice; in the end only the juice will remain without the pulp — you'll get roughly 120-150 ml of juice, depending on the size of the pineapple. Then heat 150 ml of water on power level 2-3 and add 150 grams of white granulated sugar, stir until the sugar fully dissolves, and let it cool for 20-30 minutes off the heat; then mix the pineapple syrup with the simple syrup (that's what we made from the water and sugar). I keep this in a bottle and it's enough for quite a few servings
2. The cocktail recipe itself is very simple — put ice in a whiskey glass, about half a glass, or just one large ice cube
3. Pour in 45 ml of rum, then add 20 drops of Creole Bitters, and finally 15 ml of pineapple syrup, stir with the back of a spoon, and it's ready!
