What to Buy1. Soft white bread, loaf-style - 5-6 slices
2. Eggs - 2 pieces
3. Milk - 3 tablespoons
4. Butter - 1/2 tablespoon
5. Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
6. Ground black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
7. Avocado - 1 ripe
How to Make It1. Beat two eggs, 3 tablespoons of milk, salt and pepper together with a fork until smooth
2. Put the butter in a large frying pan and set it to medium heat, about 5 or 6; once the butter melts, spread it evenly over the pan, for example with a paper towel
3. Dip the bread on both sides and place it in the pan, one slice at a time, fry for about two minutes at the same heat, lifting with a fork to check it isn't burning; once it starts to brown, flip it to the other side and fry until done, again until golden, then remove and place on paper towel to blot excess oil
4. Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and carefully scoop it out of the peel with a large spoon
5. Turn each half over and slice diagonally, as in the picture
6. Arrange on a plate and season lightly with coarse salt and a pinch of ground black pepper — don't overdo it, since it can easily get too salty; if you don't have coarse salt, fine salt works too
Ready to serve! French toast goes best with tea, topped with the avocado!
